The 'Grow Your Own' program empowers KCPS students to become future educators, addressing the teacher shortage by fostering local talent to strengthen our schools & communities.Those participating can receive free college tuition and guarantee of a letter of intent to hire from KCPS following schooling!
Joining the KCPS 'Grow Your Own' program offers students a unique opportunity to jumpstart their journey into the teaching profession. Student participants gain access to college courses, real-world learning experiences, and dual-credit opportunities to accelerate their education.
The program also provides valuable community service hours, industry-recognized credentials, and an introduction to the teaching field, equipping students with the skills and experiences needed to make a lasting impact on our communities.
